Cates earned offensive honors for the Riders by rushing for a league-high 632 yards and seven touchdowns in six games, averaging 105.3 yards per contest. He also caught 19 balls for 234 yards and two more scores. Cates' 866 combined yards in fourth in the CFL.

Rounding out the monthly honors, Dominique Dorsey of the Toronto Argonauts picked up the special teams honor. The return specialist is tops in the CFL with 382 punt return yards, including a 94-yard touchdown last week. Dorsey, who was top special-teamer in Weeks 2 and 6, leads the league with 1,233 combined return yards.
